Yesterday I got to try out the reflective film that will form the mirror in the centre of my main scene. I am hoping that the main scene area will be able to be turned into a semi-scaled down version of a bathroom; with a back wall- half tiled, a sink and the mirror taking pride of place in the centre of the wall.
It was my hope that the mirror in the centre of the wall would actually be covered with the mirrored film instead of mirrored glass. Therefore, i could stand behind the set and, with the right lighting, allow the audience to see my morning routine from a front perspective. in other words, they would see my morning routine as I would see it if I was looking in the mirror. Current tests have confirmed what I hoped would happen, thankfully.
Although these images aren’t of great quality, you can see the desired effect. The 1st image shows what the film would look like when light is projected onto it and the second image shows what the film would look like when light is shone from behind and hopefully above [rather than below, in this image].
